Praesens et Praeteritum is a musical cd guided by a book. Or maybe more a book guided by music. They can be used separatly, but combined we open up a passage into a lost but not forgotten world. Great stories and knowledge combined with authentic artwork adds a deep layer to the experience of the music.

The book contains the songtexts from the songs on the cd, plus with each track an accompanying text with background information. We also added information about the most appealing subjects in the medieval era. Forbidden love, the plague, royal songbooks, the invention of the windmill and the whereabouts of a maiden-robbing troll. The will be aws and laughter, funfacts for friends and survivaltricks may you even end up in the Xvth century. Besides all this there is also a course in singing, our favourite recipe and our personal stories.

All texts are bi-lingual: the texts are in Dutch and in English, to reach out to their international fanbase. The book is printed full color and has 96 pages. Each page is illuminated with hand-crafted artwork. Interpretations of astounding medieval art, but also images of the band as medieval musicians roaming from adventure to adventure through the pages.
